The Karen Font

Looks like the Karen Font is popular these days!  This is pretty much my basic script handwriting with a teeny tiny bit of embellishment.  For those of you throughout my life who said I should be making money off my handwriting, I am now, so thank you!

It can be our secret...

So as I get started on thank you notes for my daughter's birthday nearly three weeks after her party, I can't help but think that maybe there's a market out there I should be tapping into.  Haven't you ever sat down to write thank you notes and wish someone else would just do it for you?  Maybe that someone should be me!  Give me a list of guests' names and corresponding gifts, and for $2 per note, I'll whip up a thank you note AND address the envelope too!  I won't even tell it didn't actually come from you...wink, wink, nudge, nudge.  And if you came to Camryn's birthday party, she says thank you for her gift and please be patient with her mommy...the note will get to you eventually!

A touch of whimsy

Feels good to have finished my most involved order in record time, during one of the busiest weeks in recent history...this was my fifth bride getting married between 9/25 and 10/9!  It was fun to use more of a whimsical font and bold colors for these wedding invitations.  Slightly annoyed my picture came out a bit blurry, but you get the idea (click to enlarge):

Hoping to get some more fall brides on the docket, and I would love to add a Sweet 16 or Bar/Bat Mitzvah to my repertoire.  I've seen a ton of pregnant bellies on the beach this summer...my services are a great gift for new moms who want to send out birth announcements while trying to feed the baby, and change the baby, and get the baby to sleep, and feed the baby, and change the baby...!  Anyone in mind?  Send them my way!

When it rains it pours!

What a busy month it's been!  I've addressed invitations for 4 weddings in 3 weeks, and have another bride on the horizon.  Of course I was so excited to have happy customers that I completely forgot to take pictures for my blog when I was done, but oh well!   Here's a picture of my prettiest work instead:

I'm relying solely on Craigslist and word of mouth to attract customers right now, so if you like my work, please tell a friend!
